data curation
Definition
- Scientific curation involves cleaning, editing, and transforming the data with the aim of obtaining “clean”, legible datasets that are easier to process. There is also documentary and technical curation, which involve verifying the metadata of data files to be stored in a repository with the aim of suggesting changes and improving the quality of the dataset descriptions. The aim is to make it accessible, shareable and reusable in a sustainable way. (French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. "Open Science - Research Data" (2024). Ouvrir la science.
