Définition

  • Dry forest, or xerophilous deciduous forest, is the ecosystem of dense or semi-dense tree vegetation, which alternates brief seasonal rainy climates with longer dry climates. It is the opposite of the evergreen rainforest. Dry forest is one of the fourteen biomes with which the WWF classifies terrestrial ecoregions, giving them the name tropical dry and subtropical deciduous forest.
