noble gas
Définition
- A noble gas, or rare gas, is a chemically inert gas because, being monoatomic, it is very weakly reactive with any other compound. The seven noble gases are helium (He), neon (Ne), argon (Ar), krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe), radioactive radon (Rn) and radioactive oganesson (Og). Noble gases are the elements in group 18 of the periodic table. The first six are natural gases, the last is an artificially produced synthesis gas.
