Brunhes period

The Brunhes period is the normal geomagnetic zone from the end of the Pleistocene to the present, after the Matuyama period ; from Bernard Brunhes, French geophysicist, who in 1906 showed the first proofs of the reversal of magnetic field in volcanic flows.
