- Théorie selon laquelle les faux souvenirs résultent de l'activation automatique d'éléments associés aux éléments étudiés, combinée à une surveillance déficiente de la source du souvenir au moment de la récupération, ce qui conduit à attribuer à tort une origine réelle à une information non présentée.
