Title
Cognitive psychology of human memory (CogMemo thesaurus)
Thesaurus Cognitive psychology of human memory
Description
The Thesaurus of Cognitive Psychology of Human Memory (CogMemo), developed at Inist-CNRS, is a bilingual (French-English) terminological resource covering concepts from cognitive research on human memory: memory systems and processes, empirical effects, memory disorders, study methods, measures, theories, and models.
The majority of concepts are documented with a definition and a selective bibliography. Some entries are further enriched with scope notes, examples, moderating variables, and images. References to open datasets and replication studies are also provided.
The architecture of the thesaurus is based on hierarchical (broader/narrower), associative, and equivalence (synonyms) relations. To reflect the structure of knowledge in the field of memory, other relations specify the links between concepts:
• "is diagnostic tool of" / "has diagnostic tool";
• "is disorder of" / "is impaired in";
• "is measure of" / "measured by";
• "is study method of" / "has study method";
• "is model of" / "has model";
• "is theory of" / "has theory";
• "is component of" / "has component".
The thesaurus is aligned with other terminological resources (thesauri and ontologies) and online encyclopedias: Cognitive Atlas, MeSH thesaurus, SAGE Social Science thesaurus, Wikipedia, wikidata, Foundational Model of Anatomy ontology, UBERON, Scholarpedia, SantéPsy thesaurus, the Neuro Behavior Ontology, FRANCIS vocabulary of philosophy, Open Encyclopedia of Cognitive Science.
