Définition
- The Sen-Shorrocks-Thon (SST) index, also called the modified Sen Index, is a poverty index that combines the proportion of poor people, the depth of their poverty, and the poverty distribution among the poor into the poverty measure. It was proposed by Anthony Shorrocks as an extension of the pioneering work of Amartya Sen. [Source: The SAGE Encyclopedia of World Poverty; Sen-Shorrocks-Thon Index]
