Définition
- Revictimization is a serious, multifaceted, yet poorly understood public health, public safety, and criminal justice problem in the United States and abroad. Although the phenomenon has long been observed by those who work with adult victim/survivors, particularly with those who have been sexually (re)victimized and/or battered by their intimate partners, it is often framed pejoratively by directing blame toward those revictimized rather than toward those who exploit and perpetrate violence against the vulnerable.
