Définition
- Significant food shortage may be a primary feature of a disaster, as in droughts, agricultural failure, or floods that result in famine, or may be an effect of war, economic catastrophe, or population displacement. The malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies that ensue add to disease burden and mortality, encumber socioeconomic recovery, and intensify demands on already inadequate resources.
