Anne and Carl Braden
Définition
- Carl Braden and Anne McCarty Braden were long-time southern organizers and journalists who were among the civil rights movement's strongest white allies in the post–World War II South. Despite numerous attempts in the Cold War years to discredit them as revolutionaries and “reds,” the pair applied their journalistic skills and left-wing vision to the causes of civil rights and civil liberties for almost three decades.
