Définition
- In response to the homicide of a Lehigh University student in 1986, and as a direct result of tireless campaigning by that victim's family, the U.S. Congress passed the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990. The bill mandated institutions of higher education to make both annual crime statistics as well as a comprehensive plan for student safety available to campus constituents upon request.
