multivariate analysis methods

Définition

  • Multivariate analysis methods are defined as statistical procedures that involve the analysis of more than one variable at a time, with an emphasis on modeling the relationships between such variables. The use of these methods in geography became a significant component of the “quantitative revolution” within the discipline during the 1950s and 1960s and has been further stimulated by the widespread use of GIScience and a renewed interest in spatial statistics from the 1990s.
