Asian American gangs
Definición
- Asian American gangs, operating in U.S. cities since at least the 1960s, attracted police and media attention in the late 1970s and early 1980s when their members were involved in violent, headline-grabbing incidents in New York City and San Francisco. In the 1990s, sociologists began contributing insights into gang-related activities of young Asians in North America. [Source: Encyclopedia of Race and Crime; Asian American Gangs]
