Definición

  • McCulloch v. Maryland (1819) confirmed—some might say it created—the implied powers doctrine. It is one of the trilogy of great decisions by Chief Justice John Marshall that, along with Marbury v. Madison (1803) and Gibbons v. Ogden (1823), extended the scope of the national government under the Constitution. [Source: U.S. Constitution A to Z; McCulloch v. Maryland]
