Definición
- Prison furloughs were originally intended to accomplish a variety of correctional goals. In addition to using furloughs to relieve overcrowding and assist in rehabilitation, correctional authorities used them to reward good behavior, to reintroduce an inmate back into society, to take advantage of educational and training opportunities, and to maintain family and community bonds.
