Definición
- Although the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Bram v. United States, 168 U.S. 532 (1897), focused primarily on the Fifth Amendment provision against self-incrimination, the decision also includes a comment on the Fourth Amendment that provides insight into the Court's view of the amendment. Bram, the first officer of the ship Herbert Fuller, had been accused of killing Captain Charles I. Nash and others while at sea. [Source: Encyclopedia of the Fourth Amendment; Bram v. United States]
