- AMERICAN CANCER SPECIALIST Henry S. Kaplan was the winner of the Charles F. Kettering Prize of the General Motors Cancer Foundation in 1979 for “distinguished leadership in the development of a highly effective therapeutic regimen for Hodgkin's disease.” His efforts ensured that radiotherapy became a new discipline in oncology.
