Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo

- Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo (The Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo) is an organization created in 1977 by women looking for their disappeared grandchildren, either toddlers kidnapped with their parents or babies born in captivity. During Argentina's last dictatorship (1976–1983), pregnant political prisoners were kept alive until the moment of giving birth.
