administrative searches
Definición
- A prominent exception to the Fourth Amendment requirement that government officials show probable cause and obtain a warrant before conducting a search or seizure is the administrative search. Although the language of the amendment protects all property and persons, the U.S. Supreme Court distinguishes between searches to find evidence of criminal wrongdoing and those designed to protect a non–law enforcement interest, such as public health and safety.
