sociology of burglary

Definición

  • Burglary as a concept is often thought of in terms of the crime it entails, which involves the breaking and entering of another's home or temporarily unoccupied dwelling with the intent of stealing. Yet this simple definition can be limiting, as there are many burglaries that do not involve “breaking,” such as those on home construction sites; one-third of all burglaries have taken place when the offender entered through an open door or window in a house, basement, or garage.
