Definición

  • Participatory rural appraisals were developed as an approach for international funders such as the World Bank to use in determining the viability of proposed projects in developing countries. The appraisal process typically involved a team of international experts working with local people to conduct intensive fieldwork aimed at identifying key project assumptions, establishing baseline data where possible, examining local resources, and determining commitment to and interest in the project.
