Definición
- President Ronald Reagan used the phrase “war on terrorism” in the 1980s, but the term “war on terror” is commonly associated with the struggle against Islamic terrorism in the wake of the September 11, 2001, attacks against the United States. The term encompasses military actions in Afghanistan and Iraq, foreign policy initiatives, and domestic initiatives ostensibly aimed at preventing or preparing for future terrorist attacks.
