Definición
- Many sociological studies have examined how economic deprivation acts as a precipitating factor in the commission of crime across various races, and the basic theme is that poverty in a stratified society weakens institutional and social bonds. Scholars have noted that economic hardship has been especially critical in understanding the disparity occurring frequently between the crime rates of Blacks and Whites in the United States.
