Alzheimer's caregivers
Definition
- Alzheimer's disease is a slowly developing neurodegenerative disease that results in progressive dependence of a person and typically imposes an intense demand on caregivers, so much so that caring for the caregivers is considered part of the treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's patients need support from the initial course of the disease, from care to avoiding accidents to advice for remembering routine activities such as bathing or eating.
