- Understanding violent victimization against Hispanics and how their victimization differs from that of non-Hispanic groups is essential for developing more efficient and effective policies designed to minimize future victimization. Further, understanding Hispanic victimization and how it may differ from that of other groups makes it possible to assess the extent to which there is fair and equitable access to the benefits of the criminal justice system.
