- Children become familiar and comfortable with technology, including Web pages, at very early ages. About 6% of children ages 5 to 7, 28% of children ages 8 to 10, and almost 50% of 11-to-14-year-olds are online, mostly to get help with homework and to enjoy chat rooms, entertainment, and playing games.
