implications of restriction of foods on child feeding habits
Definition
- As more children are becoming overweight at school age and even preschool age, researchers have focused their attention on the feeding strategies of parents as one possible factor affecting weight problems in children. One theory holds that parents, by restricting their children's access to unhealthy foods, impair the children's ability to regulate their own intake, leading paradoxically to overweight children.
