Definition
- Child rearing is the process of raising, fostering, nourishing, and educating a young boy or girl to the age of puberty or to adulthood (Simpson & Weiner, 1989). Child rearing involves several different aspects, including feeding, toilet training, dependency training, and aggression training (Halfon, Mclean, & Schuster, 2002).
