Définition
- A positive regulatory effect on physiological processes at the molecular, cellular, or systemic level. At the molecular level, the major regulatory sites include membrane receptors, genes (GENE EXPRESSION REGULATION), mRNAs (RNA, MESSENGER), and proteins. A positive regulatory process that increases ligand-receptor interactions. Increase in receptor binding after ligand exposure can result from receptor activation, aggregation, increase in half-life, and/or an increase in gene expression that leads to de novo receptor synthesis.
