Définition
- Procedures that render the female sterile by interrupting the flow in the FALLOPIAN TUBE. These procedures generally are surgical, and may also use chemicals or physical means. A knuckle of FALLOPIAN TUBE is ligated with absorbable suture, then a small segment is excised. A fimbriectomy technique that consists of excising the distal tube and fimbriae, and ligating the cut ends of the tube with silk sutures.
