Definición
- Substances that prevent infectious agents or organisms from spreading or kill infectious agents in order to prevent the spread of infection. Generically, any agent that destroys microbes. However, usage of the term is increasingly being confined to agents that prevent or reduce the transmission of SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES.
