  • A method of maintaining airway patency and administering anesthesia during emergency situations when it cannot be determined if the patient is fasting or not; or in other instances where there is a risk of aspiration. The method includes a series of events that involve the administration of SEDATIVES to induce unconsciousness, followed by NEUROMUSCULAR BLOCK AGENTS to improve the intubating conditions, followed by endotracheal intubation.
