- only known fact: he painted a Dormition of the Virgin for the Santuario di Maria di Rifesi in Burgio, Sicily and signed it: "Iacobus Cossentinus Bibonensis 1616". He could be same as the sculptor Giacomo Buttafuoco, act.1604-1607, a colleague of Pietro Russo (see Saur).
