- collection of stories and poems originally published by Griswold-Redfield of NY in 1850 and having no title; the 1852 British edition,which is a collection of selected stories from the original American edition, was assigned the title: Tales of Mystery, Imagination and Humour. Reprinted many times in US without the "...and Humour". Appears to be generally known now as Tales of Mystery and Imagination. Some tales include: The Pit and the Pendulum; The Murders in the Rue Morgue; The Fall of the House of Usher. , The Raven.
