linguistic sign

In particular the grammar adopts the mechanism of a type hierarchy in which every linguistic sign is typed with appropriate constraints and hierarchically organized. (Kim, Sells & Yang, 2005)
The main idea is that argument structure is the key component in linguistic signs and that it provides the interface between syntax and semantics. (Kracht & Aboamer, 2017)
What I would like to consider in a general way is how a linguistic sign or word can come to refer to something in the perceptual field. (Pylyshyn, 1978)
With respect to the sentence boundary detection of the French language Maegaard and Spang-Hanssen described a method to segment the French sentences into principal clauses and subordinate clauses by using only a few kinds of linguistic signs in the text. (Mathew & Guggilla, 2019)
