pro-form

These pro-forms are themselves equivalent to the verbs in question in the sense that they are substitutable for them. (Klima, 1961)
Zero anaphora is the use of a gap in a phrase or clause that has an anaphoric function similar to a pro-form. (Kawtrakul, Suktarachan, Varasai & Chanlekha, 2002)
