An open source software tool for molecular biology text analysis (genes, proteins tagging...). (Loterre)

If ABNER is trained using all the provided annotations for protein term mentions in the GENIA corpus it achieves a reasonable performance (recall of 77.8 and precision of 68.1). (QasemiZadeh, 2016)
In the example figures ABNER requires Sentence to make the explanation clearer though ABNER does not require it in actual usage. (Kano, Nguyen, S\\aetre, Yoshida, Fukamachi, Miyao, Tsuruoka, Ananiadou & Tsujii, 2008)
The accuracy of ABNER is approximately state of the art with precision and recall of 74.5% and 65.9% respectively with training done using the BioCreative corpora (BioCreative). (Madkour, Darwish, Hassan, Hassan & Emam, 2007)
