For liquids and glides (r l w y) the CTC model does not produce characters until later in the monophone segment. (Maas, Xie, Jurafsky & Ng, 2015)
In the former which is the more phonologically inclined Wolfart identifies the phoneme inventory of Plains Cree as containing eight consonants two semi-vowels/glides and seven vowels (three short and four long). (Harrigan, Arppe & Mills, 2019)
