stylistic variation

A useful application of electronic corpora in language teaching is the ability to annotate collections of texts to show stylistic variation. (Wilson, Hartley, Sharoff & Stephenson, 2010)
As noted earlier despite the presence of distinctive stylistic variations and linguistic cues no attempts to automatically classify texts into promotion or prevention-focus have been reported yet. (Velutharambath, Sassenberg & Klinger, 2023)
Our work is the first to attempt authorship attribution of scientific papers a contemporary domain where language is very formal and the stylistic variations have limited scope. (Feng, Banerjee & Choi, 2012)
We assumed that the system performance was dependant on text styles and that the system would most effectively support reading of article type texts because they contained less stylistic variations compared with other types of texts particularly advertisements. (Kotani, Yoshimi, Kutsumi, Sata & Isahara, 2005)
