Adpositions coordinating conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions are considered particles in UD but the guidelines specify that the most precise label should be used. (Choi, Guillaume & Fort, 2021)
Some nouns especially loan words like "kShi" ("coffee") never take the particle. (Hobbs & Kameyama, 1990)
Some nouns such as "cha" ("tea") always take the particle ("o-cha'). (Hobbs & Kameyama, 1990)
The distinction between a particle and an adposition is difficult to define. (Choi, Guillaume & Fort, 2021)
