speech synthesizer

A technology that converts data into spoken words by taking the input data and analyzing its linguistic structure in order to generate corresponding audio output that mimics human speech.

A speech synthesis system will also provide intonational information to best reflect naturalistic speech (Jurafsky and Martin 2009 264). (Harrigan, Arppe & Mills, 2019)
Developing speech synthesis systems for other languages is strongly desired because Mandarin is not the mother tongue of most people in Taiwan and all languages except Mandarin face the crisis of disappearance. (Gu, Zhou & Liau, 2007)
In practice particularly given the state of today's voice synthesizers people realize that they are speaking to a machine and will adjust their language accordingly. (Stubley, 1998)
The speech synthesiser is capable of generating all simple vowels. (de Boer, 1997)
This paper presents a speech synthesis system for Amharic language and describes and how the important prosodic features of the language were modeled in the system. (Anberbir & Takara, 2009)
