automatic term recognition

An area related to the study, design and development of techniques for the extraction of stable lexical units from text, and the filtering of these lexical units, usually through some scoring and ranking schemes, for the identification of terms. (Wong, Determination of Unithood and Termhood for Term Recognition, in Handbook of Research on Text and Web Mining Technologies, 2009)

Automatic Term Recognition (ATR) is the task of identifying such terms in domain-specific corpora. (Hätty, Dorna & Schulte im Walde, 2017)
Automatic term recognition (or term extraction/mining) techniques can be divided into two broad categories the unithood-based and the termhood-based ones;. (Kokkinakis & Gerdin, 2009)
