- Since there are only two tenses in Arabic (as in Russian-but a more accurate comparison would be to say that each of the Arabic tenses corresponds to one member of a perfective-imperfective pair of Russian verbs) it is obvious that what we translate into English tenses will involve auxiliary verbs and particles in Arabic. (Brown, 1962)
- These verbs do not provide tense aspect and modality information and they are not part of complex serial verb predicates. (Alam, Tyers, Hanink & Kübler, 2024)
- We generate candidates for verbs based on their tenses. (Zhang & Wang, 2014)
